The legendary debut album Boston returns in a special 50th Anniversary Edition from Impex Records. Presented as a Hybrid Stereo SACD, this audiophile release was created in close collaboration with Boston mastermind Tom Scholz and mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. In addition to the original eight-track album, the anniversary edition includes a selection of Boston's legendary long-lost demo recordings.

Boston originally released their self-titled debut album in 1976. It went on to become one of the most successful debut albums in rock history. Songs including More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time and Smokin' have become enduring staples of classic rock.
For this 50th Anniversary Edition, Impex Records worked directly with Tom Scholz. Chris Bellman mastered the release at Bernie Grundman Mastering, allowing the dynamics, scale and carefully constructed layers of the original production to be presented in this premium digital format.
A particularly interesting addition is a selection of the legendary Lost Demos. These historic recordings were restored by Tom Scholz while deliberately retaining their original sonic character. Listeners will therefore be able to compare early versions of the songs directly with the finished album recordings.
The exact bonus demo titles have not yet been announced by Impex Records.
This release is a Hybrid SACD. The SACD layer provides stereo playback on compatible SACD equipment, while the separate conventional CD layer allows the disc to be played in standard CD players as well.
