Also on their fourth album “Burnin' Sky”, released in March 1977, Bad Company remained true to their blues rock roots: Paul Rodgers’ soulful and powerful vocals continued to lead the way, while the band’s raw, guitar-driven sound was further perfected and gained in maturity.
The 12 songs were recorded in France at Studio Château d'Hérouville, under the production guidance of Chris Kimsey, who would later become an engineer for the Rolling Stones. David Bowie also recorded “Low” in the same studio later that year. The LP’s title track quickly became a hit single, while the album reached number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart. In the United Kingdom, “Burnin' Sky” also climbed into the top 20 of the album charts.
To mark the 75th anniversary of Atlantic Records, Analogue Productions now honours this timeless chart classic with a sonically highly attractive reissue.
