Purple is the new Orange!

By now it is fully clear to A/V enthusiasts that better fuses than the stock ones are simply a must to extract the best performance from all A/V equipment. If you are searching for the best fuse available worldwide, this one is yours!

There is no other tweak or upgrade in this price range that has such an enormous impact as simply replacing your stock fuse with an Purple Fuse. It may seem a lot of money for a single fuse, but its value expressed in other upgrades easily comes close to up to a thousand Euros. That is why the price/performance ratio of the new Purple Fuse is simply unbeatable.

It may sound boring that every new fuse is the greatest leap in performance of all new generations of SR fuses, but there's no arguing: it is true... several experienced beta-testers confirmed the leap in performance from Orange to Purple is far more significant than the - already great - upgrade from Blue to Orange. This tells a lot about the effect the new Purple Fuse will have in your system.

While the Orange certainly is a very good fuse, compared to the Purple, the latter really excels in tonal accuracy with instruments and vocals sounding inherently right as well as providing the finest details without the listening fatigue that's so often associated with "bright" sounding fuses. Of course, this comes on top of improved staging and depth of field as well as a new definition of life-like realism combined with an unsurpassed musicality with the correct timbre.

In case there are several fuses in a single piece of equipment, our hint is: start with the primary (main) fuse. This one will carry all current drawn and is the most important one.

Just like any other fuse, Purple Fuses are directional too! Electricity should flow from the left to the right when you view the fuse (from the "S" to the "R"). Direction of the primary fuse can only be determined using a voltage detecting screwdriver. Remove the primary fuse, re-insert the plug into the wall outlet and determine on which of the two contacts of the fuse holder the lamp in the screwdriver lights. This is the hot side of your fuse holder, the "S" on the label of your Purple Fuse should point to this side. In all other cases you should listen to the fuse inserted in both directions. One direction will sound more detailed with a more natural timbre. This is the correct way.

Brand new Purple Fuses tend to outperform fully broken in Orange Fuses. With Purple Fuses you can expect a mild burn-in during the first 200-300 hours. During this time you should experience a balancing of the soundstage with improved frequency linearity especially in the mid-range and high frequencies. While break-in time of especially the Black Fuse could be significant, the new Purple Fuse will beat a fully broken in Orange Fuse already, right out of the box. After just 24 hours it really starts to open up, and from that moment... things will only get better and better and better!

The new Purple Fuse surpasses Synergistic Research's Orange Fuse with technology initially developed for the state-of-the-art SRX Series cables. In fact, before two last-minute breakthrough SRX technologies, they could not better the Orange Fuse with its impossible combination of detail and rich harmonic musicality. As a result, SR were set to forgo a new fuse introduction for 2022 as building anything better sounding than Orange despite two years of trying was not possible. It was not until SR finalized two new technologies, namely a three-stage long duration high voltage conditioning process and a brand new UEF compound featuring Graphene, that they were able to beat the Orange Fuse significantly. Together these new technologies create a larger soundstage with better image focus and higher resolution from a perceived lowering of the noise floor.

Synergistic Research isolated key factors that affect how electricity propagates by changing the behavior of electrons through Inductive Quantum Coupling methods, collectively called UEF Tech. In fact, UEF Tech is so powerful even an electrical chain several miles long is fundimentally improved with nothing more than a single fuse engineered with their patented UEF Technology.

Of all the fuse generations and refinements SR has pioneered over the past decade, the new Purple Fuses are by far the best sounding and take the single greatest leap in performance over previous generations. All aspects of subjective sound quality get enhanced, including natural sound where instruments and vocals sound inherently right, dynamics, low-level detail, high-frequency extension, and smoothness all take a massive leap forward.
