FIIO DM15 R2R portable CD player with modern versatility
The FIIO DM15 R2R is the result of an intensive development process in which FIIO carefully built upon user experiences with the DM13. This feedback has been translated into a more mature, powerful and versatile design aimed at listeners who appreciate physical media while still expecting modern functionality.
Within the product range, this portable CD player is positioned as a high quality solution for home use, desktop setups and mobile listening. Its solid construction, thoughtful layout and modern connectivity make it suitable for relaxed listening sessions as well as daily intensive use.
Advanced engineering with R2R DAC
From a technical perspective, the FIIO DM15 R2R stands out thanks to its modular architecture consisting of five core components. These include a highly accurate CD servo, a high quality USB DAC function, a fully differential 24 bit R2R module, Bluetooth connectivity and a central MCU for intelligent system control.
The R2R DAC is built using 192 thin film resistors with high precision and minimal temperature deviation. This design contributes to a smooth, natural and layered presentation while preserving detail. The increased output power allows a wide variety of headphones to be driven with confidence through both single ended and balanced outputs.
Flexible performance in any listening environment
In everyday use, the DM15 R2R proves to be extremely versatile. It functions not only as a portable CD player but also as a fully featured USB sound card for computer use. Support for resolutions up to 384 kHz and 32 bit and DSD256 ensures compatibility with modern digital libraries. Bluetooth transmission of CD and USB sources adds further flexibility for contemporary listening environments.
Additional features such as adjustable EQ presets, multiple bass modes and a dedicated RETRO sound profile enhance usability. Direct CD ripping to WAV files on external storage is also supported. The FIIO DM15 R2R is currently available for preorder, with delivery expected around January and February 2026.
