The JICO Clipper-S is a premium moving magnet cartridge developed specifically for turntables equipped with straight tonearms. Its specially designed headshell geometry allows the cartridge to be positioned at the appropriate angle for accurate groove tracking. Featuring a solid natural diamond stylus with a conical profile and JICO's tapered aluminium S-cantilever, the Clipper-S is designed to deliver natural, balanced sound reproduction. The glossy black housing combines distinctive styling with Japanese engineering expertise.

Unlike the standard JICO Clipper, which is designed for S-shaped and J-shaped tonearms, the Clipper-S features an angled headshell geometry intended for straight tonearms with a suitable universal headshell connection. JICO also confirms compatibility with the KORG handytraxx tube and handytraxx 1bit portable turntables.
The Clipper-S features a replaceable stylus. In addition to the original JICO Clipper Stylus, the cartridge supports selected replacement styli from JICO's 44 series and genuine Shure styli. This provides flexibility for future stylus replacement and compatible upgrades.
Before purchasing, confirm that your straight tonearm supports the required detachable universal headshell connection. Not all straight tonearms are compatible. Set the tracking force between 1.8 and 2.2 grams and check cartridge alignment and anti-skating according to your turntable manufacturer's instructions.
