Nagaoka MP-110 - musical turntable cartridge

The Nagaoka MP-110 is a Moving Permalloy cartridge with a full, balanced and engaging musical presentation. Its superfine polished elliptical diamond accurately follows the record groove, while the lightweight aluminium-alloy cantilever responds quickly to subtle musical changes. With a healthy 5 mV output, the MP-110 connects directly to a standard MM phono input. It is an excellent Japanese upgrade for listeners seeking greater detail, dynamics and composure from their record collection without moving to a low-output MC system.

Installation and setup

The MP-110 fits tonearms and headshells with a standard ½-inch mounting system. Check that the tonearm counterweight supports the cartridge’s 6.5-gram weight. Align the cartridge accurately according to the tonearm geometry and begin with a tracking force of 1.8 grams. Connect it to a standard 47 kOhm MM phono input. This version is supplied without a headshell.
